Recently, the Dairy Network posted a video titled “Ag Report: Dairy’s Carbon Footprint and Sustainability.” The news report summarizes a recent study performed to determine how dairy producers are fostering environmental sustainability. The Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, which posted the video, included this description of the report:
In an effort to know what its carbon footprint is, the dairy industry funded a study of 500 dairy farms and 50 dairy processors nationwide. Kimberley Clauss, whose farm was included in the study, said the report looked at the entire dairy process from raising the feed for the cows, to transporting the end product to the grocery store.
